The Starting Point

The original kitchen featured cream cabinetry, dark benchtops, a tiled splashback and brown floor tiles. Although functional, its appearance was dated, and the homeowners wanted a fresher, more contemporary space.

Achieving that transformation involved much more than replacing a few cabinets. The existing kitchen needed to be stripped out, the space prepared and the various stages of the renovation carefully coordinated.

With almost 40 years of experience in painting, decorating, renovations and project management, Rod understands that a successful kitchen transformation depends on careful planning and the right trades working together.

For this project, Rod managed the renovation from start to finish, coordinating each stage of the work and the specialist trades involved. He personally completed the plastering, tiling and painting, while qualified professionals carried out the gas fitting, electrical work and stone benchtop installation.

From stripping out the original kitchen to preparing the space and installing the new cabinetry, every stage needed to come together to achieve the finished result.

The Finished Transformation

The completed kitchen is a striking contrast to the original space. Fresh white cabinetry, light-coloured stone benchtops and a beautifully finished tiled splashback create a bright, contemporary look.

The updated appliances, carefully finished surfaces and coordinated design bring everything together, transforming a dated kitchen into a welcoming, practical space.
